Sunbathers undeterred by sub-zero temperatures bare it all along the banks of the Neva River at the Peter and Paul Fortress. With Maslenitsa (Shrovetide) celebrations scheduled for the coming week, festivities surrounding the return of sunnier days will fill the city’s parks with the sounds of folk music and traditional games and dances.
