Latvian photographer Wilhelm Mikhailovsky (l) was in the city last week with many other award-winning photographers from the former Soviet Union to mark the opening of an exhibition about cities and people at the Manezh Exhibition Hall. Mikhailovsky won the World Press Photo award in 1974 for his series about a prisoner on death row. Work from the series (r) is on show as part of the exhibition, which runs through Sept. 29.
