The History of the Trubetsky Bastion Prison 1872-1921: The Peter and Paul Fortress was Imperial St. Petersburg’s main jail and this exhibition tells the story of the famous revolutionaries and opponents of the Tsar who were imprisoned there. The Peter and Paul Cathedral and the Great Princely Necropolis of the House of Romanov: The story of the last resting place of the Romanov Dynasty from Peter the Great to Nicholas II, who was finally reinterred here in 1998.
